Social Activities

Social group and centre-based activities are designed to empower and strengthen participants as an individual to join in community, social and leisure activities with a group. The objective is to foster a comprehensive and inspiring atmosphere in which participants are free to meet new people, make new friends, participate in activities, and learn new skills, all while socialising and having fun.

Community Care Australia creates a space where one can embrace their abilities, maximize their potential
Community Care Australia began with the goal to support the differently-abled community in ways that can enable them to pursue their paths independently.
We are driven solely by the aim to empower individuals like your loved ones, to explore their potential and engage in activities that they’ve always enjoyed doing.

A wide range of group-based activities and programs are available to participants, including Art and Craft, Music, Sport, Dance, Travel, Cooking and much more.

Group/Centre Activities also help participants develop critical skills like handling money, planning & organising activities, boost overall confidence, promote enhanced learning & independence, and improve social interaction.

FAQ's

What is Community Participation?

Essentially, community participation is a way to encourage collective energy and enthusiasm and improve socialisation while our participants are involved in enjoyable activities. We include sessions with group interaction, organise events that explore various skills and impart a sense of group cooperation.

Is this included under NDIS?

Group Activities have been included in many sessions at Community Care. This is also an essential activity under NDIS and is included in their packages, as group sessions are conducted for overall development. If you want more community-based participatory events and sessions, you may speak to your support coordinator to choose an appropriate plan.

Will I be provided wheelchair support?

Our staff will take care of any needs that you would like us to cover. Your personal caregiver will ensure that you are comfortable and safe in any of the activities that you participate in.

Can my family members join the social outings?

With prior discussion, your family members can accompany you to the social events if it helps you feel comfortable around other participants. You can also join these group events when your family caregiver is on a break, and if you’re temporarily staying at Community Care.
